Empire Hotel Rooftop Bar and Lounge

Partying under the Empire Hotel's iconic rooftop sign is undeniably special, and this venue has become very popular with both locals and visitors from nearby states (i.e. New Jersey).  There are excellent views of Lincoln Center, but the twelfth floor is not high enough in this area for any panoramas.  The party scene at night is fun if somewhat trashy, inconsistent (or is it consistent?) with the dress code, which is strictly applied during busy periods.  Just be careful about coming here during the day, when the ugly orange-blue hues of the walls and cushions give the whole place a sickly feeling.
