This low key bar near Union Square is popular with NYU students, and its second floor rooftop area has the same vibe as the bar one level down. There's no view and you may feel trapped behind the high walls, but there can be a decent party atmosphere if there are enough people in the small space. There's no bar on the rooftop, so you'll need to fetch your drinks from downstairs.
